An ambitious effort to create a truly unique online experience. I worked with Warner Bros. to create a multi-tiered, flash-based online game that would tie in week by week with the Smallville TV show. We began by mapping out the user flows for each week of the game, identifying the points of interaction between game, TV show, real-world marketing efforts and the user community.
Centered around a futuristic desktop user interface and a mysterious video guide, I designed 10 different Flash applications and games, tied into and extending 10 weeks of TV show story line. Each week's mission required users to combine traditional gaming skills, secret codes, trivia and Smallville knowledge. Regular emails would invite users back when new missions were available.
For each game, initial sketches and wireframes were reviewed by the team before building interactive prototypes for gameplay testing. Visual Design by Dave Mikula.
